I am passionate about helping people make real, sustainable changes to improve their health.
Education and Licensure
I received a BS from The College of William and Mary in neuroscience and religious studies. More recently, I received a Master of Clinical Nutrition (MCN) from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. Part of my education involved over 1200 hours of supervised practice in dietetics.
Since 2013, I have been a Registered Dietitian (RD) and a Licensed Dietitian (LD) in the state of Texas.
Before becoming an RD, I worked in the non-profit sector for 7 years, specializing in leadership development, fundraising and event planning. I also worked in the food and retail industries, with a combined 10 years of experience, specializing in individualized service. Additionally, I love teaching and developing groups and individuals.
I have been in private practice since 2013. Additionally, I have experience in both the clinical setting and in higher education.
Currently, I am the in-house dietitian for dailyServing, a solution-based functional food product. The company is focused on sustainability, portion-control and real, whole foods. I love connecting people with easy and practical solutions for better health through events and one-on-one conversations.
I have always had a passion for healthy lifestyles, including good food and being active. I enjoy experimenting in the kitchen, and am thankful for my husband who is willing to be my constant guinea pig. I have a background in specialty cheese, and love pairing cheese and wine. Few things make me happier than surprising friends with how delicious healthy can taste.
I was a competitive gymnast for 11 years, and also enjoyed soccer and softball with friends. Now I'm a runner, having done many half-marathons in the Dallas area, and completed my first marathon in 2009 in Richmond, Va.
